The name, the mark, the palette and the voice — everything needed to refer to Esbee without asking first.
Esbee is a bee. It survives being spoken, which an acronym does not, and it reads as a name rather than a claim — no Protocol, Labs, Finance or Capital doing the work.
What makes it worth keeping is what a bee already is — the thing the contract is:
Esbee, capital E, never ESBEE or esBee. Esbee DAO for the governance contract; the pool or bond-staker for the ledger it operates. Write it as a word — not as initials, and not with the letters spaced or separated.
One caveat worth stating plainly: a search turned up no crypto or DAO project using the name, which is a first signal and not a clearance. A real trademark and handle check is still owed before anything is printed on anything.
A honeycomb cell, with a hint of neighbouring cells above and below, and three tapering bands beneath that read as a bee once noticed and as nothing at all until then.
The strokes sit on the cell's own diagonals, so at small sizes the mark reads
as structure and only resolves into a bee up close. It carries its own
palette and flips with prefers-color-scheme, so it can sit
directly on a page without a plate behind it.
The mark itself ships a two-tone pair that flips with the reader's theme:
ink #1c1a17 / #f2eee6 for the comb, accent
#d1620a / #f08a3c for the letters — bitcoin
orange, warmed.
Caprasimo for headings, Figtree for everything else. Both ship with this site under the SIL Open Font License.
This page is assembled from the project's brand guide rather than from the Esbee Media Kit design file — it uses the same tokens as the rest of the site, but it is not that design. Replace it when that file is available.
